Situation Analysis and Conflict Resolution

Developing Skills in Obtaining and Communicating Information with Olivier Lopez, MBA'14, Partner at Ydès Avocats

Cost: 15 €
Registration Required

If you have already attended at least one of our two previous workshops last year on negotiation, you are invited to the next one which will again take place at the University of Chicago center in Paris on November 21 from 8:30am (welcome coffee) to noon, followed by snacks and drinks until 1pm.

During this workshop we’ll spend time discussing and working on issues concerning information:
  • General barriers to getting information and how to overcome them;
  • Cultural differences to avoid misunderstandings and help identify concerns;
  • Negotiating without talking (game theory review).
As usual, space is limited and enrolment preference is given to attendees of our previous workshops, however some seats will be available for new participants who are interested in the club. New participants will be able to “catch up” and take the negotiation style survey which will help them identify their strengths and weaknesses as a negotiator.

Olivier Lopez, MBA'14, is a partner at Ydès, a law firm where he works with and advises entrepreneurs, corporations and investment funds on M&A, joint ventures and private equity and venture capital investments.
A graduate of both the Montpellier law school (Master of Law) and the University of Chicago Booth School of Business (MBA), when Olivier is not advising clients, he teaches Negotiation and Venture Capital at the University of Montpellier. Olivier has extensive M&A negotiation experience, acquired for the past eleven years while working, prior to Ydès, with the M&A teams of BNP Paribas, Arthur Andersen/Ernst & Young, Norton Rose LLP and Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP.
